Lecturama - Physics HTTP://lecturama.com/physics/lectura_fisica_blatt.html "Lecturama - Physics" is a course in physics for undergraduate students, composed by a team of professors from the University of the Andes, Colombia. It includes a theoretical component and online exercises with feedback from tutors. This syllabus can be seen as an alternative to traditional courses in physics at universities and has been developed with the aim of solving some gaps that students may find when studying this subject at third level, such as difficulties related to visual interpretation or lack of practice in physical problems solving techniques. The course offers a conceptual framework where authors have tried to explain, for undergraduate students, some of the most current research topics in physics. The course covers a vast range of topics, from Newtonian mechanics to modern physics, from elementary particles to cosmology and includes historical developments related to the teaching of physics. In line with this aim authors have oriented all content of the course towards physical problems solving techniques and problem solving strategies used by physicists. Lecturama - Physics has been partially financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FONDECYT). In 2016, for instance, it has received a grant from FONDECYT which allows them to promote these courses at their annual meeting in Colombia. This meeting, which takes place in November, gathers students, teachers and administration of the most important institutions in Colombia related to science.
